Clear aligners
A series of removable trays that move teeth a fraction of a millimetre at a time. Most adult cases run six to fourteen months.

Every price includes the scan, the simulation, all aligners, every review appointment, and one set of retainers per arch at the end.
How it runs
Scan and simulation
A digital scan, no impression material. You see a simulation of the predicted result before paying anything beyond the $175 assessment.
Attachments
Small tooth-coloured bumps bonded to some teeth so the aligners have something to push against. They come off at the end.
Wear
22 hours a day, out for eating and drinking anything except water. Each tray is worn seven to ten days.
Reviews
Every six weeks, ten minutes each. We check tracking and hand over the next batch.
Retention
Retainers on the day the last aligner comes out. Teeth move back without them, which is not a sales line, it is simply what happens.
What aligners cannot do
They are poor at large rotations of round teeth, at closing big extraction spaces, and at moving teeth bodily rather than tipping them. If your case is one of those we will tell you that fixed braces would give a better result, and refer you to an orthodontist rather than take the case on regardless.
Questions
The trays are close to invisible at conversational distance. The attachments are more noticeable than the aligners themselves, particularly on front teeth, and they stay on for the whole treatment.
The first two days of each new tray feel tight and the teeth are tender to bite on. It settles. Changing trays at night rather than in the morning means sleeping through the worst of it.
Go back to the previous tray and ring us. A replacement is $85 and takes about ten days. If you are near the end of a tray we often just move you forward instead.
Yes. Aligner treatment is the most common thing patients spread. Twelve months at 0% is standard, twenty-four months at 4.9% APR is available above $5,500.
Your teeth stay where they are at that point, which may be worse than where they started. We will make you a retainer to hold the position and refund nothing, because the aligners are already manufactured. Please be sure before starting.
